I am reminded of two things in the subsequent photo:
1) of the great beauty we can find in nature
2) of the quality that a point-and-shoot camera can give. I've been using my SLR so much, i've forgotten that you don't need always to twiddle with dials and modes to get a nice shot.
Which kinda is speaking to me now. It was really easy to whip out my small camera, snap this and keep walking. Yet if I had my SLR, I would have had to stop, twiddle with this, take a shot, possibly twiddle again and possibly take another.
Its the same with our lives - sometimes the simpler option is more rewarding than taking the bigger, bulkier, more impressive, more twiddly (thats my word for today) option.
We might twiddle around so much, that we'll miss an opportunity, or miss the whole point of something, or miss something important.
Sometimes its best to just leave the complications, mess and baggage of life and just take things as they came, snap it, and keep walking.
Let it die, and get out of my mind
We don't see eye to eye
Or hear ear to ear
Don't you wish that we could forget that kiss
And see this for what it is
That we're not in love
The saddest part of a broken heart
Isn't the ending so much as the start
It was hard to tell just how I felt
To not recognize myself
I started to fade away
And after all it won't take long to fall in love
Now I know what I don't want
I learned that with you
